The Special Issue 2025 of the Review of Studies on Sustainability, published on June 5, 2025, is dedicated to the relationship between health, human movement, well-being, and sustainability. This special issue, entitled “Rethinking social inclusion from the perspective of sustainability,” opens with an editorial by Domenico Tafuri*, who, as guest editor of the journal, has written an introductory contribution that clearly outlines the theoretical and scientific framework within which the essays collected in the volume are situated. In his editorial, Tafuri takes the reader on a broad and timely reflection on the concept of sustainability, not only in environmental and economic terms, but also (and above all) in terms of health and quality of life. This approach focuses on the individual, the body, movement, and mental and physical well-being as essential elements for truly sustainable and inclusive development. Health is not presented as the simple absence of disease, but as the result of a complex balance between lifestyles, social context, environment, and public policies. The Special Issue 2025 offers scientific contributions that explore these themes from different and complementary perspectives. The articles address the role of physical activity and sport in promoting health throughout life, the preventive value of human movement, the connections between psychological well-being, social inclusion, and sustainability, and the educational and training implications of these processes. Reflections emerge on sport as a tool for social cohesion, on the importance of educational models oriented towards well-being, and on the need for integrated policies that bring together health, education, and the local area. Particular attention is also paid to the academic and scientific context, with contributions showing how interdisciplinary research can offer concrete answers to contemporary challenges related to public health and sustainable development. The special issue is thus configured as a space for the exchange of knowledge, in which medical, motor, social, and educational sciences dialogue to build new paradigms of well-being. This Special Issue is aimed not only at researchers and professionals in the field, but also at readers interested in understanding how everyday choices, educational models, and public policies can profoundly affect the quality of individual and collective life. Prof. Tafuri's editorial provides a valuable guide to reading the entire issue, offering theoretical coordinates and critical insights to help readers navigate the various contributions. Please note that the Review of Studies on Sustainability is available in open access mode, promoting the widest possible dissemination of scientific content and dialogue between research and society. 👉 The journal is available on the Franco Angeli website by clicking here.
